Happy Halloween! š
Miss Barb here with another spooky craft for October! It wasn't until I started doing crafts with Reading Time that I seriously celebrated the spooky season. I am glad that this is now a part of my yearly festivities. It is wonderful to cook up fun crafts for you all and Share a Scare!
This month's craft comes to us from Crafts by Amanda. You should check out their tutorial first, but I'll show you how we will be making our version at Reading Time this Saturday! š¬š¦šÆļø

SUPPLY LIST
š White copy paper or vellumĀ
š Bright markers or colored pencils
š Jar with approximately 3-inch mouth
š Battery operated tea light
š Tape
INSTRUCTION
Step 1: Draw or print your design onto the copy paper or vellum. The printed designs are available with the Crafts by Amanda link above. Color the design or even design your own spooky scene using lots of different bright colors.
Step 2: Trim the top and bottom of the paper to get the design more centered on the jar.Ā
Step 3: You can use either a glass or plastic jar for this craft. Be careful if it is glass! We used plastic for our craft this Saturday. Wrap the paper around the jar and tape into place.Ā

Step 4: Place the lit tea light into the jar, find a dark spot, and enjoy the shine!
I'm sure you can agree that this lamp is Lit! You can put it inside for some seasonal fun, or you could even set it out with your Jack-O-Lanterns on Halloween night!
