Hi friends! It's Miss Barb with another fun craft from Craft Corner!
When I was trying to decide on a craft for this month, I asked for help from none other than this month's featured buddy, Mr. Zae! He is pretty crafty himself and I knew that he would have some good ideas.
I already knew that Mr. Zae loves dragons, but there was something about my ideas that just weren't quite right. It turns out that all we needed was a little sparkly flair! Here's how we put our spin on this project from Learn with Play at Home.
✨ Paper Plate Dragon 🐲

SUPPLY LIST
🐲 Paper plate
🐲 Scissors
🐲 Stapler, Tape, or Glue stick
🐲 Washable paint or Markers
🐲 Large craft stick (optional)

Step 1:
Gently fold your paper plate in half then cut into two pieces. Take one half and cut in half again. Take one of those pieces and cut that also in half. You will be left with four pieces.

Step 2: Cut the rim off the medium size piece. This rim will be the tail.

Step 3: Cut little triangles off the plate rim piece to make the tail and draw a dragon head on the remaining piece. Cut out your dragon head. Give some shape to the two other small plate pieces for the wings.

Step 4: Your dragon pieces are now ready to decorate. Cover your work space with plastic or paper. Use washable paints, watercolors or markers and DECORATE AWAY!
To give ours that Mr. Zae flair, we used the Crayola Washable Project paint with Glitter! Set it aside to dry for a bit.

Step 5: Once all the pieces are dry, it’s time to assemble the dragon! Using a stapler (our suggestion) or a glue stick and/or tape, attach the head, wings and tail piece onto the dragon body.

We also added a craft stick to the back to turn ours into a puppet.

And there you have it, a sparkly dragon that is absolutely giving Mr. Zae. I'm so excited to celebrate my friend this Saturday with you!
