We are so excited to be hosting our first ever Read-A-Thon fundraiser!
If you want to make a bookmark with us live during the stream, gather the supplies below and join us online at 1:30 pm on Sunday, 11/9.

SUPPLY LIST
🔖 Cardstock cut to 2" x 7.25" OR download and print our bookmark template below.
🔖 Coloring supplies (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.)
🔖 Yarn
🔖 Scissors
🔖 Single-hole punch or a pen
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Print your bookmark template or cut your piece of cardstock and color your bookmark.

STEP 2: After your bookmark is colored, use a single-hole punch or pen to punch a hole about 1/2" from the edge of the bookmark.
STEP 3: Hold the end of your yarn down with your thumb and start wrapping the yarn around 3-4 fingers. The more you wrap, the thicker your pom-pom will be, but be careful to not wrap too tight. Once you reach your desired thickness, cut the yarn from the rest.

STEP 4: Cut a piece of yarn about 6" long.

STEP 5: Slide the 6" piece of yarn between your fingers and wrap it around all the yarn. Start to tie a knot.

STEP 6: Slide the pom pom off your fingers and tighten the knot around all the yarn. You'll want that knot as tight as you can get it.

STEP 7: Clip the loops on both sides of the pom pom.

STEP 8: Fluff your pom pom and give it a hair cut, to even up all the ends. Leave the 2 long tails from the strip you created the knot with.

STEP 9: Put one end of each long tails through the hole in the bookmark.

STEP 10: Wrap the ends up and tie a knot.

STEP 11: Enjoy your new custom bookmark!
