Hey friends! I'm Miss Makena - an avid bookworm who loves sharing stories that help kids learn about the world, themselves, and others. I'm excited to be part of the Reading Time board!

I grew up in southern Idaho and went to college in Utah, where I met my husband. After getting my theatre management degree, I worked with many community theatres in Cache Valley, including a children's theatre for children, by children. It was amazing to watch the kids' confidence grow and bloom on stage.

Now, I run my own business supporting small businesses in all their tech and system needs. I also teach theatre classes to kids after school in Idaho Falls. I love a good spreadsheet and dabbling in different crafts. Lately I've been obsessed with crochet!

My three kids and I enjoy reading, coloring, and crafting together. We like visiting parks, museums, and libraries. Our family loves to travel and explore new places.
